About OtagoArcade
OtagoArcade is a Kiwi social casino simulator with four relaxed browser-based games crafted purely for entertainment. No real money is involved, and virtual chips hold no monetary value or exchange potential. We've designed this experience for adults who want to enjoy casino-style play without any financial commitment.
Our mission
Otago Arcade exists because we wanted to build a venue where New Zealand players could spend time—whether minutes or hours—without worrying about money or risk. Recognising the gap between real-money gambling sites and genuine play, we created something straightforward and free. We believe gaming should be simple leisure, no different from solving a crossword or playing a puzzle on your phone.
Why a social casino simulator?
Social casino games recreate traditional casino mechanics—spinning reels, lucky wheels, scratch cards, bingo grids—using virtual currency with no real monetary value. You cannot win actual money or lose funds from your account. It's entertainment, comparable to board games or video games.
Social casino simulators deliver uncomplicated gameplay, wide accessibility and virtually no entry hurdles. You needn't register, you're not required to link a bank account, and you're shielded from the urge to chase losses by raising stakes. Your chip balance resets automatically to one thousand when depleted, so you can always play another round without financial risk.
Who builds OtagoArcade?
The OtagoArcade team is a modest group of New Zealand product specialists with backgrounds in interface design, content strategy and responsible digital services. We collect no player data, avoid sponsored content and affiliate links, and decline real-money casino promotions. This deliberate approach keeps OtagoArcade independent and straightforward.
Our values
Responsible play above all
Although no real money is played on OtagoArcade, we take the prevention of gambling harm seriously. Every page on the site links to Gambling Helpline NZ, Safer Gambling Aotearoa, Lifeline Aotearoa and Te Hiringa Hauora (Choice Not Chance). If play — in any form — starts to feel compulsive or causes distress, we encourage you to reach out to the professionals.
Clarity and transparency
Otago Arcade operates with transparent terms—no concealed charges, paid tiers or strings attached. All games remain entirely free, featuring visible rules and pay tables on each game's page. We'll never ask for credit-card information or enrol you in communications without your agreement.
A Kiwi feel
Otago Arcade's interface channels Aotearoa's landscape—native bush tones, coastal light—creating a calm, welcoming space. We've organised the English copy throughout to feel natural and unforced, prioritising readability at a measured pace.
Privacy
We gather no gameplay information, steer clear of surplus third-party trackers, and refrain from marketing cookies without your clear approval. Refer to our privacy policy for further detail.
Why the name OtagoArcade?
The name draws on two concepts that define the site's character: Māori — Aotearoa's heritage, which informs the colour palette, motifs and tone, applied respectfully without appropriating sacred imagery — and spins — the gentle mechanic fundamental to slot reels and lucky wheels. Together, they point towards our aim: a peaceful space inspired by Aotearoa, where you can momentarily escape the day's demands.
What we don't do
- We do not direct users to real-money casinos.
- We do not recommend or compare gambling operators.
- We don't issue prizes, gift cards, merchandise or bonuses of any monetary value.
- We do not use manipulative patterns designed to keep someone playing longer.
- We don't retain your balance across sessions — each visit begins fresh.
